To the world, your business has its own identity... even personality. A good logo has to accurately portray who you are as a business. But, a logo isn't everything. At every moment, you need someone making sure that a consistent message is helping to build the recognition and customer relationship that is going to allow your business to grow and prosper.

Good Work Marketing And Design in New Orleans is that partner. We work hard for our clients and will ensure that you are always portraying a consistent message.  We will do everything in our power to help catapult your business to the next level, starting with a professional logo design.

What is a brand?

If you're reading this, you probably have heard a lot about “branding”. There are a lot of firms out there trying to use this buzzword to sell pricey logos , but what exactly is it?

Your brand is in essence every experience that customers and potential customers have with your company. Even having the best product is only half of the equation to a succesful brand. Do your employees know exactly what your company is there to do? When they answer the phone, are they truly representatives of your company?

Good Work Marketing and Design offers a selection of identity packages that reach from straight forward logo and business card design to full-blown identity branding, including slogans, mission statements, customer relation training, sales slicks and leave behinds.

We do not claim to be able to "brand" your business on our own. However, we can give you the tools and show you how to use them. Establishing a successful brand is a team effort that requires that your company and employees stay true to "your brand".  In other words, you must put into practice what we help you preach.

Concepts for powerful, useful logos.

When shopping for logos, there are a few things to think about beyond just how it looks.

Full Color Vs. Spot Color. What does that mean? Full color logos are popping up all over these days. With all of the new technologies, they are becoming easier and more cost effective to reproduce. However, having a single (black and white) or two color (spot color) version of your logo is a necessity. It can not only save you a lot of money over the long haul, but also is necessary for black and white ads in which reproducing that full color version only serves to degrade your professional image.

Raster Vs. Vector. Businesses fall into this trap more than any other. We have all heard of Photoshop. Photoshop is a raster program which means that its images are made up of small squares called pixels. When you attempt to enlarge a raster image (i.e. to decal your vehicles or make a sign), what happens is that these pixels just become larger, leaving you with a big, jagged, hard to read mess. A vector image, on the other hand, is based upon lines instead of pixels. Any look that can be created in pixels can also be created in vector lines. However, when a vector image is enlarged the lines stay crisp clean and professional looking. With a vector logo, you will never again have someone tell you that your logo needs to be recreated for a particular purpose.
